Prevention of sports injuries is a priority for sport stakeholders across the spectrum of training and competition. Achieving this objective requires a multidisciplinary approach with strength and conditioning coaches playing an important role in the process. When considering sports injury prevention strategies, the role of the strength and conditioning coach can extend beyond observing exercise technique and prescribing training to develop a robust and resilient athlete.

UOW Malaysia KDU University College and Student and Alumni centre (SAC) conduct Sports Workshop: Injury Prevention and Treatment in Sport under the Youth Empowerment Plan – Fitspiration. This workshop is a part of a learning series and an excellent way to educate, motivate, and inspire action amongst individuals from sport or the community at large.

Fitspiration series sports workshop: Injury prevention & treatment in sports discussed three main topic which includes the introduction to Sports Physiotherapy, Injury in Sports and Injury Management in Sports. The workshop conducted by a certified trainer Ms. Fatin Nabilah from Universiti Teknologi Mara Shah Alam (UiTM). Each workshop was carefully designed to activate quality sport and physical activity delivery, highlighting best practices, research, and experience of athletes or students.

During the workshop, students were granted opportunities to learn about Introduction Physiotherapy this topic giving knowledge to students to know what type of equipment for Physiotherapist use in treatment also type of muscle and skeleton in human body.

Sports injuries can often be highly complex and multi-faceted. Therefore, accurate diagnosis and appropriate management and treatment, as well as the provision of detailed training advice, requires considerable experience.
