Important Announcement – MCO Extended Until 12th May 2020

MCO Extended Until 12th May 2020

(Updated 24th April, 2020)

By UOW Malaysia KDU

Dear Students and Staff,

The Prime Minister has announced a further extension to the Movement Control Order (MCO) until 12th May 2020, which will continue to see all members of the campus community restricted to their place of residence.  In accordance with this directive, all campuses will remain closed until 12th May 2020. While our physical campuses are closed, access to Oracle, our online learning platforms, digital library resources, and academic staff remain available to support the learning of our students.

UOW Malaysia KDU’s highest priority remains the health and well-being of our campus community.  Upon completion of the MCO comprehensive social distancing and cleansing procedures will be implemented on campus to ensure your continued safety.  In the meantime, please continue to study and work from home and reach out to our support services if we can be of assistance.

Online Delivery of Classes

UOW Malaysia KDU’s academic programs will continue to be delivered online until the end of the Movement Control Order (MCO), currently timed to end on the 12th May 2020. Students can access Open Learning (Glenmarie and Damansara Jaya Campuses) or Canvas (Penang Campuses) learning management systems to obtain online content, complete online assessment, and support for your classes. Any changes in assessment will be advised by your lecturer(s) via email and the learning management system.

June Semester to Proceed as Scheduled

In order to minimize disruption in the progression of students through their selected program, the decision has been made to proceed with the semester scheduled to commence 1st June 2020. In the event, the MCO is not lifted, we will deliver through our online learning management systems. We aim to ensure a quality, remotely delivered learning experience for all our students, with the support from our teaching staff.
