Dr Tan Bee Wah is the Program Leader (Business Programs) of School of Business at UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College. She holds a PhD Degree in Economics from Universiti Sains Malaysia, with her thesis explores empirical issues related to the new surge of outward foreign direct investment. Her main research interests lie in development economics, energy economics, financial economics and international capital flows.

Dr Tan research works has produced a great number of publications in high- impact journals and conference proceedings such as Journal of Business Economics and Management, International Journal of Economics and Financial Issues, Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews, Energy, Economic Modelling, Economia Politica and Journal of Economic Cooperation and Development. She is also a reviewer to more than 20 top tier international journals. Moreover, she is ranked by Research Paper in Economics (RePEc) as the Top 10% Economists in Malaysia.
