Dr Daniel Borer Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Dr Daniel is a Swiss economics and business graduate. He studied at the Basel University, Switzerland, and the London School of Economics. He obtained his PhD in Banking and Finance at the Basel University. He was active as research assistant and lecturer at the Basel University, and as a senior lecturer at the University of Mainz, Germany, and the Institute for Design, Switzerland. He worked closely together with renowned professors like Prof Dr Beatrice Weder, currently president of the CEPR, as well as on research projects for the Swiss Government Development Agency. Recently, he earned an M.A. in Leadership at the Open University, UK. Dr Daniel also has vast work experience outside academia, having a key post in the largest Swiss private bank, UBS, assisting the bank to transition into the Euro currency and also performing economic development work for CIMA, a Latin American development work NGO. Dr Daniel is an excellent teacher and a strong, analytical researcher with outstanding, cross-cultural leadership skills. He is extraordinarily gifted in quickly understanding complex, economic and political problems and providing practical, effective solutions. Currently, he is based in Penang, Malaysia, serving as team-director for PLI Leadership Institute that offers leadership and anticorruption seminars for high ranking government officials. Furthermore, he teaches economics, business and critical thinking at UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College. Lastly, he is part of the International Projects (IP) Consultancy Committee which assists governments worldwide in undergoing reforms.
