Almost every year, UOW Malaysia KDU will receive a few students from both Rikkyo University & Gakushuin University. The year 2020 has also been the same, where we received these students for them to undergo their English Language classes and to further improve in the said language.

Over the three weeks in Malaysia, these students have had the chance to get explore Malaysia with their assigned Malaysian buddies. Their buddies also brought them to Sunway Lagoon for a one fun-filled day where they get to enjoy themselves at one of the biggest Asian waterparks.

For Rikkyo University students, they had an extra opportunity to join another group of Japanese students from Tezukayama Gakuin University for an industry visit to Royal Selangor Visitor Centre, a Malaysian pewter manufacturer and retailer. There, they are shown the processes on making pewter into several types of products. It was an informative industry visit, and exciting at the same time.

After three weeks, the UOWMKDUxRikkyo & Gakushuin Culturation Mobility Programme finally came to the end. It was a bittersweet moment as they were happy tor return to Japan but at the same time feeling rather sad to leave their newfound friends in Malaysia. They promised to come back one day and gather once more to happy times.
