Study opportunities in Canada talk was organised on the 16th October 2019 at Blackbox, Damansara Jaya campus. The aimed of this talk was to introduce students about the exciting experiences of studying in Canada. The invited speaker was Mr. Jeff Kiyooka, international recruitment manager from University of British Columbia.

The talked began with short videos viewing such as introducing the history, ranking, students’ population, facilities and services available at the University of British Columbia. Later the speaker shared local and international students’ experiences in Canada, such as presenting some iconic buildings in campus, as well as interesting culture and practices around the campus.

Meanwhile academic programmes and estimated living expenses were also shared during the talk. This is to provide students’ helpful information in terms of choosing courses and financial planning if decided to study abroad in Canada.

The talk was conducted in interactive way where the students can ask questions regarding studying at the University of British Columbia. Majority the students keen to find out the available scholarships for international students and transfer programme opportunities. Students showed great response and interest throughout the talk and were more delighted to welcome the speaker back on-board next year!
