Guest lecture entitled ‘The Development of Law of Joint Enterprise’ was held on the 15th October 2019, at Blackbox, Damansara Jaya campus. The lecturer covered the nature of criminal liability, the development of ‘joint enterprise’ and the activities of a student Miscarriages of Justice Review Centre. The invited guest speaker was Ms. Louise Glover, senior university lecturer from School of Law University Sheffield, UK.

Although the topic of this oration was more relatable to Law students, it managed to attract students from different schools to attend, as they are keen to acquire additional knowledge apart from their current field of study. The talked was conducted in an interactive manner where students given a chances to ask questions throughout the lecture. During the Q&A session, students were interested to explore possible opportunities and understanding living experiences at the United Kingdom.

It was a valuable encounter for both guest speaker and students as they were able to share personal academic insights and exchange cultural experiences. Therefore, UOW Malaysia KDU’s guest lecture does not always conducted in conventional way, it can be fun and interesting, or perhaps discover new aspects or information that you will never expect!
