The Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge 2020 is a collaborative event organized by the Penang State Government, Penang Youth Development Corporation and Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneur Section purposed with fostering youth interest and activity in entrepreneuship. The Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge this year was themed ‘Youth for the Future’. Penang Chief Minister YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow was present on the day and commented within his opening address that, “It remains my hope to see the youth in Penang continue to venture into the field of entrepreneurship. The State Government will provide the necessary support for our young local talents to generate more young leaders who will meet global market demands.”

This year’s challenge attracted many students from universities and colleges in Penang who were given the opportunity to showcase their innovative entrepreneurship ideas to a panel of judges.  Students who participated received valuable exposure to entrepreneurship start-up experience and industry networking through their interaction with industry panel members and guests, enhancing the prospect of future success should they chose to launch their start-up business projects.
