In the light of the announcement by the Malaysian Government of a Movement Control Order (MCO) in Selangor and Penang, all UOW Malaysia KDU campuses have, effective from 13th January 2021, been closed for campus-based teaching and learning activity.
Classes have been transitioned to online delivery, with practical classes to be postponed until campuses are authorized by the authorities to reopen. Students may access the Open Learning or Canvas learning management systems to obtain online content and support for classes. In addition, online access is available to the student management system, library databases and an extensive library of e-books. If you require assistance in accessing any of these services, please do not hesitate to contact your respective academic school.
The campuses will remain closed until the authorities advise that all institutions of higher learning may re-open their campuses, however our team of dedicated academic and student support professionals are available to support you. Your well-being and continued academic progress remain are highest priority. Please utilize the contact details at the bottom of this message should you require any assistance. For academic matters you should contact your lecturer in the first instance. International students who choose to remain in hostel accommodation, will be supported by our student services team.
Remember that together we can play our part to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic. Please remain in your place of residence unless venturing out to secure essential supplies or medical services. Finally, you are reminded to stay in touch with the latest announcements by checking your university college/college email regularly.
