A Level Student – Developed a Rapid Testing Technology for COVID-19

UOW Malaysia KDU’s proud A-Level alumni, Lim Boon Chuan, a 26 year old Malaysian PhD student who is part of a team of scientists from the University of Oxford’s Engineering Science Department and the Oxford Suzhou Centre for Advanced Research (OSCAR) that has developed a rapid testing technology for COVID-19.

Lim Boon Chuan is a third year DPhil student in Synthetic Biology at the University of Oxford and he is working on a start-up project, Spectre Bio which has won multiple awards. His  interests include synthetic biology, microbiology, engineering and bio-business strategy.
